At Centurion Chiropractor Dr Bezuidenhout now offers the services known as FAKTR Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation. But what does this mean?
FAKTR Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation is used to assist the athlete or avid exerciser to improve performance or get through the barrier of pain and limited range of motion as a result of injury to the soft tissue and underlying fascia.
FAKTR (pronounced FACTOR) is a concept, not a technique. The acronym stands for Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab. FAKTR can treat but is not limited to a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions including tendinopathy, sprains, strains, entrapment syndromes, fascial restrictions such as plantar fasciitis, ITB syndrome, myofascial pain syndromes, adhesive capsulitis, shin splints and post-surgical recovery.
When should you consider FAKTR?
The FAKTR concept can be applied to all ages and body types and is especially effective for athletes.
